DeVaris Brown.
Founder, product leader, builder · Oakland, CA
I'm CEO and co-founder of Meroxa, a real-time data infrastructure company I started in 2020. We raised $19M, shipped Conduit as open source, and sold into some of the hardest customers there are — the Air Force, Space Force, NASA.
Before Meroxa I spent a decade as a product leader: Director of Product Management at Twitter, and product, engineering, and developer-relations roles at Heroku, VSCO, Zendesk, and Microsoft. I studied math and computer science at the University of Illinois.
Everything on this site is what I build outside that. Same instincts, smaller surface area: tools that do one thing for one kind of operator, shipped fast, kept honest. The throughline is assistive over autonomous — software that drafts and waits rather than acting on your behalf.
Now.
